Adolf Hitler, the real-life leader of the Nazi Germany, appears briefly in the manga adaptation of The Dictator’s Book fragment, interacting with Rasiel and showing to be interested in The Dictator's Book.

Background[]

Born in 1889, Hitler was a German politician who was the leader of the Nazi Party, a far-right political party in Germany that practiced the ideology of National Socialism, more commonly known as Nazism, a form of fascism that incorporates scientific racism and antisemitism.[1][2]

By the time Hugh became Dalian’s key-keeper, Hitler was gaining notoriety for his speeches against the Jews and the peace treaty that ended the World War I. Around the same time he designed the party's banner of a swastika in a white circle on a red background.

As a dictator, leader of the Nazi Germany starting from 1934, he’s usually seen as responsible for ordering the Holocaust and initiating the World War II, considered the deadliest conflict in human history.[3]

Personality[]

Hitler became interested in getting his hands on The Dictator’s Book to protect him and his government from enemies. In the manga, nothing else was revealed about his personality.[4]

Appearance[]

He’s depicted wearing the Führer tunic uniform, including a necktie, a Sam Browne belt and an armband showing the Nazi swastika. Hitler appears with his distinctive toothbrush moustache and side swept hairstyle.[4]

Plot[]

Rasiel tells Hitler the story about the politician who had a Phantom Book that protected him from enemies as long as he kept ruling the country as a dictator. Hitler wants a book with such a power to himself. However, Rasiel reveals that the leader was not chosen by her Phantom Book. She leaves the meeting accompanied by the Professor. According to her, humans never learn from the past.[4]
