Priscilla Riley is the main character of The Mystic Archives of Dantalian Dalian Days. She’s a schoolgirl at the Road Windal Academy.

Background[]

Priscilla is a second grader at the Road Windal Academy. As an exemplary student, she was selected as class representative. She’s part of the Class 2J with her friends from the first year Cecil and Margaret. Priscilla was born in a family of a failed aristocrat, so she has to give her best to keep her scholarship. She has a part-time job at a cafe. At night, she goes to the school’s library to write.[1] Dalian is the only person who knows about Priscilla's hobby.[2]

Personality[]

Priscilla is a respectable student, recognized by her teachers and other girls. She has good grades and an exemplary attitude. She gives her best with her studies in order to keep her scholarship.[1] As a very responsible girl, she also demands effort from her friends Cecil and Margaret, who are more carefree. Priscilla wants the best for them.[3] Priscilla is kind, dependable, emotive, and she worries about her friends.[1][3] Priscilla is always arguing with Cecil, especially when Cecil mentions Priscilla’s large breasts and poor family. Priscilla loves to write, although she’s too shy to reveal her hobby to her friends.[1] Although Dalian is rude to Priscilla, the latter sees her as a precious friend.[4] Priscilla likes to cook and she’s always thinking about how to create delicious dishes with cheap ingredients. She’s often embarrassed when her friends mention the size of her breasts. Priscilla has the habit of writing down her thoughts.[1] She loves to write stories and show them to Dalian.[5]

Appearance[]

Priscilla has large breasts, purple eyes and a long, wavy auburn hair. She uses a red hairclip to keep some strands away from her face. There are red laces at the end of her two braids. Her school uniform, which includes a short coat in the winter, is mainly light yellow, with details in crisscrossed green, a pattern also part of her skirt and bow tie. In her part-time job, she wears a pretty maid uniform.[1]

Plot[]

A new semester starts at the Road Windal Academy. Priscilla is in Class 2J like her friends Cecil and Margaret. Priscilla was selected as class representative. Priscilla is happy to see her friends again. Margaret admires how Priscilla is dependable and respectable. Cecil mentions how Priscilla is a failed aristocrat. The schoolgirls start to argue. Priscilla mentions how she likes to prepare sweet bread crusts. Margaret worries that Priscilla is having financial issues. Priscilla explains that she’s doing well. Cecil grabs Priscilla’s breasts. At that moment, they bump into Hugh.

Priscilla is late, so she runs to the classroom with her friends. She introduces herself to Dalian, a new student at the school. Dalian rudely ignores Priscilla. During the class, Priscilla writes about Dalian while admiring her beauty. Priscilla is curious about her. Cecil notices Priscilla's admiration for Dalian. Priscilla yells at Cecil, interrupting the class. Priscilla apologizes.

After class, Priscilla goes to the cafe for her part-time job. Late at night, before going to the dormitory, she decides to write at the school’s library. She never revealed her hobby, even to her close friends. Dalian suddenly appears.[1] Dalian collects a paper from Priscilla's novel which fell on the floor. Dalian reads Priscilla’s novel. The fact that someone is reading her writings makes Priscilla very nervous.

The library closes. The girls must return home. At first, Dalian doesn’t want Priscilla’s company. Dalian changes her mind when she sees a dog. Dalian kicks a car in order to get a ride. Luckily, the driver knows Priscilla from the cafe. During the ride, Priscilla is satisfied to see Dalian eating her bread crusts. The schoolgirls reach the Ombolo Mansion. Before entering the house, the rain makes them soaking wet. They enter the bathtub together. Priscilla notices the strange lock stuck on Dalian’s chest. Priscilla bonds with Dalian. Priscilla is happy to know that Dalian appreciates her novel. Priscilla explores the mansion, searching for a shampoo.

Hugh suddenly appears, seeing Priscilla wrapped in a towel.[2] Priscilla mistakes Hugh for a criminal. She throws objects at him, trying to protect Dalian. Priscilla accidentally finds a Phantom Book. Priscilla reads the Phantom Book and loses control of the magic power. She tells Hugh and Dalian to run away. The couple opens the Dantalian’s Bookshelf to save Priscilla. The latter wakes up with a kick from Dalian, with only a few flashes of memory from the incident. Priscilla and Dalian had slept in the same bed. Priscilla has breakfast with Hugh and Dalian. Priscilla apologizes for the misunderstanding. Hugh drives the girls to the school.[6] Priscilla never returned to the dormitory last night, so Cecil and Margaret were worried. Cecil wonders if Priscilla has a boyfriend. Cecil and Margaret are shocked to see Hugh giving a ride to Priscilla. Cecil and Margaret are happy to see Priscilla unharmed.

Later, Priscilla, Cecil and Margaret speculate about Hugh and Dalian’s relationship.[7] Priscilla embarrassingly writes about them as a couple.[8] Priscilla eventually returns to the Ombolo Mansion with Cecil and Margaret to help with the cleaning. Dalian tells Priscilla to bring some bread crusts. After the cleaning, they have a nice tea party.[9]

On a certain day, the schoolgirls have to go to the infirmary for some body measurements. Cecil doesn't want to be checked. Priscilla has to force Cecil inside the infirmary. Priscilla is embarrassed to know that her bust increased since last time. As always, Cecil hugs Priscilla, pressing her breasts.[10]

During a sleepover, Priscilla, Cecil and Margaret listen to Dalian’s frightening story. The girls embrace each other, terrified. When a lightning strikes nearby, the girls squeeze together in the same bed, too afraid to sleep alone.[11]

Priscilla is tasked to manage the preparations for the celebration of the school’s foundation. She sleeps in the classroom, exhausted. Margaret suggests a cherry blossom viewing to cheer Priscilla up. Cecil makes Priscilla furious, but Dalian manages to lift her spirits. Margaret is happy to finally see Priscilla laughing. The girls take a nap under the cherry trees. Priscilla is grateful for her friends. The next day, Priscilla feels rejuvenated. She even wrote a new novel for Dalian to read.[5]

In the summer, the girls decide to cool off in the river. Dalian and Priscilla read with their feet in the water. Cecil throws water at them. Priscilla and Cecil fight, splashing each other. The girls wet their clothes. At the end of the day, the girls appreciate the fireflies. The next day, Dalian falls sick, so Priscilla has to care of her.[12]

The girls go to the amusement park. Priscilla watches Cecil trying a very intense ride. Soon after, Priscilla and the others enter a haunted house. They run in panic. Dalian gets lost, but Priscilla, Cecil and Margaret eventually find her.[13] At the end of the summer vacation, Margaret is desperate with the amount of homework left. Margaret wants to copy Dalian’s homework. Priscilla drags Margaret to another room. Margaret is forced to finish the homework by herself, with Priscilla’s help. Cecil only has the free subject left, but she struggles to finish it. Priscilla encourages Cecil with her words and some pancakes. Cecil builds a strange sculpture, which Priscilla fails to appreciate.[14]

Priscilla is busy with the final preparations for the school festival. Cecil is excited to work as the art director, but Priscilla orders her to follow the script. Priscilla is happy to see Dalian getting along with the other girls. Hugh suddenly appears, calling for Dalian. The latter thanks Priscilla for the story she wrote. Dalian returns the notebook to Priscilla. Dalian walks away. Priscilla is devastated knowing that Dalian left. Priscilla thinks that Dalian will never return.[15] Cecil and Margaret lose their memories about Dalian. Everyone acts as if Dalian never existed.

After the school festival, Priscilla feels sad, but she doesn’t know why. She suggests going out to play. Priscilla, Cecil and Margaret feel like they are forgetting someone. Priscilla takes Cecil and Margaret to the classroom. Priscilla finally shows her notebook she uses to write. Priscilla wrote a novel about a little girl who loves books. Priscilla writes about the little girl, as if trying not to forget her. Priscilla cries, sad that Dalian left. However, Priscilla sees Dalian reading a book at the front row. Priscilla runs to embrace Dalian. Priscilla wets Dalian’s clothes with her tears and runny nose. As punishment, Priscilla will treat Dalian at the cafeteria. The girls walk to the cafeteria together.[16]
